Our beautiful little tripod girl Ruby is searching for her forever home

Ruby is a almost 3 year old French Bulldog with the most loving nature imaginable. Despite only having 3 legs, Ruby doesn’t let anything hold her back and approaches life with so much joy, confidence and affection. She truly is a little ray of sunshine.

Ruby is fantastic with adults, loves children, and gets on amazingly well with other dogs. She accepts corrections beautifully and would be happy living as either an only dog or with canine companions. She has also shown no issues passing cats and small animals outdoors.

This gorgeous girl is fully housetrained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to the right home. Ruby absolutely adores human attention and can be vocal when out and about because she wants everyone to say hello to her — but she responds well to redirection.

Ruby is the definition of a cuddle bug. She has absolutely no understanding of personal space and her favourite place in the world is curled up on your chest with her head resting on your shoulder. If you stand up from the sofa, don’t expect your seat to still be free when you return — Ruby will have claimed it instantly!

Because Ruby only has 3 legs, her exercise does need sensible management. She loves playing and running around on softer surfaces, but she can sometimes overdo it when playing with other dogs and become uncomfortable afterwards. Her new family will need to monitor this carefully and help her rest when needed. For harder surfaces, Ruby uses a doggy stroller for longer outings to help protect her joints and muscles, though she can still manage short strolls.

Ruby would be best suited to a home with children aged 5+ due to her tendency to jump up for affection and because she can’t move out of the way as quickly as a four-legged dog.

Ruby is a truly special girl with so much love to give, and we know the perfect family is out there waiting for her.
