Bonny
Meet Bonny – A Fun-Loving, Bubbly Girl Looking for the Right Home!
Bonny is still a puppy, at around 11 months old, a bullbreed/cane corso cross.
Bonny is a spirited, adventurous, and affectionate girl who is full of personality. She’s still a little reactive on walks after being found as a stray, so she prefers quieter routes and takes her time to settle into new experiences.
Bonny is a strong, clever, and playful dog who loves to interact with people — from tug ropes and wiggle balls to choosing her favourite teddy for bedtime. She has a big personality and a cheeky sense of humour, and will happily join in with any game or activity you offer. She loves to scavenge and explore, especially in the garden, and her favourite time is spent in enclosed paddocks where she can run and play freely.
Bonny is learning her manners and knows several commands, including sit, wait, touch, leave it, and bed. She responds well to praise, treats, and play, but like many clever dogs, she can get overexcited and may not always listen — especially on walks. She is currently learning to walk nicely on the lead and continues to make progress with her training.
Her playful nature means she’s going through the “bouncy bunny” stage: she loves to jump, jump around furniture, and occasionally mouth to get your attention. She has a very strong physique and will need an owner who can manage her strength safely, including secure gates and careful handling on walks.
Her ideal home will:
Understanding and respecting her strength and cleverness
Be patient and experienced with confident, energetic dogs
Have no cats
Offer time for enrichment, play, and structured training
Older children only
Allow her to decompress and have quiet downtime
She loves company and thrives when she is involved in daily life — even simple chores! She’s affectionate, gives the sweetest kisses, and enjoys feeling part of the family. She can be cheeky and mischievous and loves stealing toys.
Bonny is an incredible dog with a huge heart and endless energy. With the right home that understands her quirks, strengths, and needs, she will make a loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining companion. Ongoing training support will be provided.
